Artist, singer and producer Clairo has announced the dates for her upcoming 2022 headlining North American tour. The tour, produced by Live Nation, is set to begin February 16th in Charlotte, NC at The Fillmore Charlotte and before closing out on April 16th in Atlanta, GA at Tabernacle.
The 22-year-old American, who recently released her sophomore album Sling, will be joined by British singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks for the majority of the 28 date tour and Brooklyn indie-rockers Widowspeak will accompany Clairo for the remaining 3 dates.
Sling, co-produced with Jack Antonoff who is the lead singer of indie pop band Bleachers, is a 12-track album that was recorded at Allaire Studios in Upstate New York and features the beautifully morose single “Blouse.” This is Clairo’s second full length LP following 2019’s Immunity, which was highly praised by music publications and the indie community.
A bedroom pop phenom, Clairo has a penchant for charming listeners with her soft and alluring vocal melodies and soothing lo-fi production techniques. Even before her 2018 debut Diary 001 EP, Clairo gained a following due to her multifaceted instrumental chops and her witty personal lyrics that provide listeners a glimpse into her diary worthy memories and heartbreakingly intimate emotions.
For this tour, Clairo has partnered with SafeTour and Calling All Crows to provide a safe and harassment-free concert experience for her audience. In an effort to make the shows and community safer, Clairo is dedicating a representative to her touring team that will respond to requests for support through text and proactive canvasing of each venue.
SafeTour and Calling All Crows will also provide sexual harassment prevention and response training to everyone employed in the touring process, including the band, crew and venue staffs.
Per Clairo, “Everyone deserves a resource, and everyone deserves to enjoy the show in peace. I want the audience to know that there is someone who will listen and believe them at every show.”
